Annual Out of Breath Hockey Tournament Weekend

This is the second year that everyone has been coming up to White River to participate in the Dubreuilville 4 on 4 Out of Breath Hockey Tournament. The fans love the tourney because the games are only 20 minutes long, with no stoppage in play. When a goal is scored, another puck is immediately dropped at centre ice and the play continues. It's so fast, the boys are definitely 'out of breath' after 20 minutes! They are only allowed to have 6 skaters and 1 goalie. Some how the boys convinced Ryan Venturelli to make the journey up and tend to the net for them. He had a great weekend and was seen standing on his head blocking shots all weekend!

In the end, the boys were victorious! They won the tourney and had fun doing it!

Thank you Uncle Jeff for the cute outfit from Australia! I am definitely a Koala Bear fan. Uncle Jeff was on the team last year, but decided to leave the team high and dry this year. He bailed on the guys and choice to stay in Australia over coming home and playing hockey on a weekend with record low temperatures of -40! Sorry you missed it Jeff!

Friday night the boys had their first game at 6:15. They played the local favorites and won 9-2.

The Winning Team and their dedicated fans! The boys won the championship game in a shoot-out after tying 0 to 0! Skillfully (as Darryl puts it) Darryl scored the winning goal in the shoot out.

Awe, Leah tried so hard to stay awake and watch the games. But I guess they weren't exciting enough for her. She managed to fall asleep during every game! Worst part...they were only 20 minute games!!!
