Tonight is Leah's first night in her 'crib-turned-toddler bed'. This afternoon her and I decided to take the front rail off and play with her big girl bed. She is able to climb on and off the bed very easily.

Soooooo at 7:30 we began the bedtime process.

1. tucked her into bed.

2. read 2 stories.

3. kiss goodnight and shut the door.

4. 10 minutes later the door slowly opens.

5. back to bed and repeat steps 1 and 3.

6. 1 minute later the door reopens.

7. repeat step 5.

8. 30 seconds later the door reopens.

9. repeat step 5.

10. repeat steps 8 and 9 three more times.

11. Mommy goes downstairs and gets the computer to check her course emails while sitting guard outside Leah's room.

12. the door never opens again.

at 8:20pm this is what I see when I peek inside the bedroom door....

(notice the 2 body pillows lined on the floor for any middle of the night falls! I'm ready.)
