Algonquin Park

Wow! I love camping! Last week Mommy, Daddy and I went camping at Opeongo Lake in Algonquin Park with the Higgs family. We had so much fun. I've posted lots of pictures so I'll keep the commentary to a minimum. On our way into Huntsville on Thursday I had to stop to go to the washroom. Unfortunately it was raining out so Dad pulled over under an overpass and Mommy waited outside while I sat on her seat to use my potty. Thank goodness we were bringing the potty camping, I would have ended up peeing on the highway!!!
Avery and I had a nice visit before we left. Here we are watching t.v.

Keleigh and I were waiting in the boats while Daddy and Jeff went to get our camping permits.

The boats weren't even unpacked and Keleigh and I were already stripped and playing in the pebbles on our beach.

As you can see from this picture we had a bit of rain on Friday. This didn't stop us from swimming and playing down at the beach all day. Notice the coolers still in the boats....still not unpacked!

Fishing fun. Keleigh and I loved our Dora fishing rods. Unfortunately all we caught were the yellow and purple weighted fish on the end of our strings. We loved it though!

Saturday morning we were up by 6:00am! Wow! Here we are getting ready to go early morning fishing with our Dads while Mommy and Kristen made breakfast.

I can't remember what I was so excited about in this picture.
Waving to Mommy.

Flying with Daddy.
Colouring in the kitchen tent.
Shopping with a bucket. Our favourite evening activity!
We bought lots of neat things...rocks, sticks, socks, shoes, anything that wasn't nailed down or too heavy to lift!

Here is a picture of our campsite. Keleigh's tent was to the left of this picture. We had tonnes of room and privacy. We could see our neighbours canoe, but not their tents or them.

Taking a break from playing to rest on the big rock.

Keleigh and I holding Jeff's big fish!
It was slimey. Check out this video of me playing with his fishy.

Eating dinner. Man we ate great this weekend! Spaghetti, chicken and rice, hamburgers and hot dogs. Yum yum!

Colouring in our play tent.

Roasting yummy marshmallows.

Jeff brought in sparklers for us to play with. They were pretty neat!

This was our runway! We ran back and forth all the time. We flew like birdies and hopped like bunnies down this path too.

Keleigh and I both enjoyed using the potty all over the campsite. It was down at the lake, up by the kitchen and outside the tent first thing in the morning. It was great!

Fishing fun!

Fishing was so fun that I fell asleep on our way back to the camp.

Snacks beachside!

Our campsite was about 20 minutes from the landing where they had a nice store. When Daddy and Jeff were out fishing they stopped by there and brought us back some yummy ice cream treats on Sunday afternoon! Thank you!

Daddy's fish! Finally they caught 3 small mouth bass. We fried them up and had a yummy snack before dinner. Both Keleigh and I are fish fanatics!

A duck family swimming by.

Daddy and Jeff cooking dinner.

Moose our guard dog! He liked watching us play.

Mommy brought in glow necklaces and bracelets for us to play with. Because it doesn't get dark until way, way past our bedtime we played with them inside our tent. It was fun to play with our bling bling!

Sitting by the campfire on our last night. I just didn't want to go to sleep and miss anything. So I cuddled with Daddy until way past my bedtime!

While our parents were packing up the campsite Keleigh and I played inside our tent.
I tried to teach Keleigh how to do somersaults.
We had such a great time camping and can't wait to go again sometime!
