Camping in Algonquin Park

Last Friday we headed into Algonquin Park again this year with the Higgs family. Again, we loaded our boats full of goodies, and headed out on Opeongo Lake. The weather was amazing, with lots of great visiting, fishing, and eating! Leah insisted on riding with the Higgs on our way to the campsite.

Tent hopping, a nightly ritual.

Yummy marshmallows, Leah's favourite camping activity.

Dinner at our picnic table! Camping in style.

Playing in the Higgs' tent.

Fishing!

Eating lunch. Notice the flowers in the vase?!

Reading stories in the shade.

Uh oh, who taught Leah to put the stickers on her eyes?!

"You're crazy Leah and....."

"Kristen!"

Yummy Jiffy Pop, night two!

Playing Snow White.

Storytime....

....oops, Keleigh's chair was on a hill!

Campsite.

Leah driving the boat....I hope you have your boaters license!

Leah's little fishy....

Keleigh's BIG fishy!

Ahhhh, hot sleeping babies....

Our nightly entertainment changed every night. We never knew what to expect. On this night Leah and Keleigh dragged eachother down the path on Kristen's sleeping mat, too cute!
"Pull me Keleigh!"
"Get off Leah!"

"Okay, I'll pull you Leah."

Keleigh says "My turn!"

"My turn again!" says Leah

"Yeah, Jiffy Pop!!!"

Uh oh, I don't think it's suppose to be on fire?!

Good thing Jeff bought 3 Jiffy Pops!

Sitting around the kids picnic table was our evening routine. It was too hot to sit around the campfire.
Ahhh, a nice warm bath in the tote. The girls were always covered in dirt and food by the end of the day.
Relaxing by the last campfire before we head home.
Daddy and Jeff attempting to catch a Ling before heading home. No luck. One more play in the tents before being put away.

Leah fell asleep as soon as we left the campsite. The boat was so full of stuff, she had to sit on the potty the whole way back. She obviously didn't mind! She ended up using a propane tank as a headrest too!

Daddy had to bail out the back of the boat as we crossed a very windy, choppy Opeongo Lake!

Matt laughed so hard watching Leah drop on that mattress. At the end, he said, "Again, again!"

Looks like you had lots of fun Leah.
